State Golf Associations

ARIZONA GOLF ASSOCIATION (AGA)
The Arizona Golf Association (AGA) was formed in 1923, and has grown to encompass over 400 clubs and 65,000 male golfers.  The Association's purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game throughout the State of Arizona.  The AGA strives to "Foster the enhancement and expansion of the game by leading in the development of member and information services, the promotion of opportunities for all who want to play, and the protection of the game's integrity and valued traditions."

ARIZONA WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION (AWGA)
The Arizona Women's Golf Association  (AWGA) was formed in 1924, and continues today with its mission "to promote and maintain the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf among women in Arizona."  The AWGA is a non-profit membership organization that promotes and administers women's golf programs in Arizona. The Arizona Women's Golf Association strives "to be the premiere women's golf association in Arizona, recognized nationally and locally as effective agents and advocates for women's golf."

SOUTHWEST SECTION PROFESSIONAL GOLF ASSOCIATION (SWSPGA)
The Southwest Section PGA is one of forty-one sections of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. Its boundaries include the state of Arizona and Clark County, Nevada. Within the Section is a Southern Nevada Chapter and a Southern Chapter to further facilitate programs within those areas. Their membership is a group of professionals dedicated to making golf a better game. They wear many hats; trained instructor, business manager, accomplished player, personnel manager, junior golf mentor, role model, community leader, rules authority, humanitarian, fund-raiser, and many more as these club professionals are responsible for the day to day activities at many of our golf facilities. The SWSPGA includes nearly 1400 PGA members and apprentices involved in the operations of more than 350 golf facilities.

JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION OF ARIZONA (JGAA)
The JGAA's mission is to serve as the umbrella organization for providing, fostering and supporting comprehensive golf programs for youth in Arizona. In fulfilling this mission, the JGAA believes that, through participation the youth of Arizona will be encouraged to value honesty and integrity, develop perseverance, self confidence, patience, sportsmanship and enjoy the game of golf for a lifetime. At the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, they have a passion for junior golf and an appreciation of values inherent to the game such as honesty, integrity and respect.
