HOST COURSE
The 2012 Chandler City Amateur Championship will be played on the Bear Course at the Bear Creek Golf Complex.
FORMAT
The tournament will be contested over 36 holes of stroke play, with 18 holes played each day. Play will be contested in Championship, Handicap and Senior Divisions. Players will automatically be entered in the Championship division unless they specify otherwise on their entry form. The Championship division will use gross scores and play from the Gold tees. The Handicap division will use net scores and play from the Blue tees. The Masters (Ages 45-54), Senior (Ages 55-64) and Legends (Ages 65+) divisions will use gross scores and play from the Blue tees. Players ages 45 and over may pay an additional $50 fee to enter both the Handicap and Masters, Senior or Legends divisions. The overall champion is the player competing in the Championship division with the lowest total score after 36 holes.
ELIGIBILITY
Entries are open to amateur golfers. Players in the Handicap division MUST HAVE a handicap established through a group or club sanctioned by the Arizona Golf Association, or a similar state or local governing body and verifiable by the Tournament Committee. The handicap revision as of April 13, 2012 will be used to determine handicaps. Falsification of amateur status or handicap will result in disqualification and forfeit of entry fee and/or prizes.
ENTRY FEE & CLOSING DATE
Entry fee of $150 plus tax, per player is inclusive of daily greens fee, cart, range balls and lunch buffet and tournament prizes. Entry fees MUST BE RECEIVED by Friday, April 20, 2012 at 5:00 PM Arizona time. Entry fees will be refunded regardless of reason, if the Tournament Committee is notified before the close of entries. Players who withdraw after the close of entries will be charged a $50 service charge; however, absolutely no refunds will be given after April 27, 2012. Field is limited to the first 120 entries.
RULES OF GOLF, CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION & PRIZES
Play will be governed by “The Rules of Golf”as approved by the USGA. This event will be contested using the most current Arizona Golf Association Tournament Policies. For more specific information, please read the AGA Tournament Policies handbook at www.azgolf.org. Participants will earn AGA Performance Points based on Category H (Type II) allocation policy. The competition is deemed to be closed when the Championship trophy has been presented. Gift cards will be awarded as prizes and may be redeemed for merchandise or greens fees.
